Business Development and Partnership Manager

Paro is seeking a driven Business Development Manager with a passion for establishing and managing strategic partnerships. We firmly believe that partnerships are a critical driver of demand-side growth, and this role is directly responsible for sourcing and onboarding new partners. They will also manage engagement of existing partnerships.

The Business Development Manager will report directly to Paro’s Head of Sales and regularly collaborate with a team of experienced Finance, Sales, Operations, Product and Marketing stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Have 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a services-oriented business
  • Possess a keen ability to anticipate the needs of a business’ clients and connect the dots to craft creative solutions
  • Quickly understand new industries, business models, and market challenges and distill them into opportunities to drive partnership conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate win-win commercial terms
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial ambition to get the job done
  • Maintain a professional demeanor complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills

You work hard, but also enjoy a good mid-day laugh, group coffee outing, or attempting a cross-office basketball shot (no prior basketball skills required). What You’ll Do

  • Identify partners who represent lead generation channels for ideal client profiles
  • Drive engagement from onboarded partnerships, resulting in new Paro clients
  • Coordinate with Marketing to design supporting collateral, campaigns, etc.
  • Draft and negotiate creative commercial terms while onboarding new partnerships
  • Contribute to Paro’s growth by exceeding commissionable revenue goals through your partnership efforts
  • Secondary priority to oversee the partner benefits we offer to Paro's clients
    • Seek out and establish relationships with companies whose product/service would meaningfully benefit our client base
    • Negotiate favorable terms with existing partnerships
    • Drive and manage utilization of our partnerships
  • As the business development need expands, manage a team:
    • Partnership Executives - Operational duties, distributing revenue shares, work with Marketing to craft messaging, improving partner penetration, etc.
    • Dedicated SDRs - Primary focus on driving engagement from partners' clients, but/(and) also available to prospect for new partnerships
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) you’ll be responsible for:
    • New clients added per month through partnership channel
    • Avg. size of partnership-driven clients: What is each partnership 'worth' from a margin/client/partnership perspective?
    • New partnerships added
    • Penetration of partners' tech/services to Paro clients
  • Add to the culture and change the trajectory of our growth by being your awesome self
