As the Paro Recruiter, you’ll partner with the Head of People and business leadership to attract and hire the most talented people. This role is responsible for full-life cycle recruiting across the entire business (everything from technology to sales) . We want you to be candidate obsessed. This means, driving a smooth and positive candidate experience at every step in the recruiting process, meeting candidates through creative outreach and proactively building an ongoing pipeline.

  • Talent Acquisition: help us hire the best of the best
  • You have a proven track record in high volume recruiting of passive candidates in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Understand the hiring trends and talent marketplace
  • Define an optimal recruiting strategy to engage passive candidates through sourcing and creative outreach
  • Schedule and conduct telephone pre-screens and assessments to shortlist the best candidates for face-to-face interviews
  • Comfort managing the entire offer process; including salary recommendations, offer letter generation, and offer acceptances/declines
  • Skilled in the art of negotiation
  • Attend Chicago networking events, Meetups and conferences to attract talent and stay connected with the market
  • Culture and Values: amplify and preserve the Paro Home Team’s culture
  • Preserve Paro as a place where employees feel at home and can bring their whole, authentic selves to work
  • Partner with business leaders on recruiting for their teams. Make internal leaders feel comfortable. Coach our team on job expectations, interview processes and hiring decisions
  • A keen eye for detail and strong intuition for culture fit when interviewing candidates

  • Ability to get hands dirty – has a “can do,” “no task is too small” attitude. Can jump in where needed
  • Collaborative – can provide thought partnership / problem-solving
  • Recruiting know-how – has a strong understanding of recruiting “A-players” inside of a high-growth business
  • Natural relationship builder -you are a strong, engaging communicator with a knack for influencing candidates
  • Organized – able to plan and manage projects & budgets with a tight focus on execution and attention to detail. Able to independently prioritize and drive initiatives. You are organized and can stay on top of numerous candidates with timely follow-up.
  • Nimbleness – gracefully navigates and adapts to an ever-changing environment with a million balls in the air and is able to pivot quickly in other directions if priorities shift
  • Judgment – exercises the ability to come to sensible, logical conclusions in complex situations in alignment with the company’s values and mission
  • Nice-to-have: 2-5 years of experience recruiting at a rapidly-scaling technology startup, (technical experience a plus)
