Sales Manager

We are seeking a driven sales manager with an extensive track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing Account Executive teams. Our sales team has more than tripled in size within the past 6 months, and we’re looking for a rock star to shape our future success. Their scope of responsibilities will include hiring, coaching, and managing these individuals until they are prepared to lead their own team. The sales manager will also have an outsized and immediate impact on Paro’s holistic sales strategy.

An open environment, constant feedback cycle, and flat hierarchy lead to an exceptionally collaborative culture. The Sales Manager will report directly to Paro’s Head of Sales and regularly collaborate with a team of experienced Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Have 5-7 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a services-oriented business, along with 3-5 years of applied sales management experience
  • Possess a mentality of continuous improvement and optimization
  • Authentic cheerleader who is also a clear, succinct communicator
  • Think highly quantitatively with a focus on KPIs and reporting
  • Enjoy the recruiting and hiring process, particularly as it relates to understanding candidates’ unique personalities, learning styles, and goals
  • Quickly understand new industries, business models, and market challenges and distill them into coaching opportunities with new reps
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative commercial terms and negotiate win-win contracts
  • Are self-motivated with an entrepreneurial ambition to get the job done
  • Maintain a professional demeanor complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Unafraid to roll up your sleeves and learn the ropes by closing your own deals. This is intended to only apply during your ramp-up period; we believe in learning by doing
  • Think fast, hustle, and celebrate successes

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as an ambassador of Paro, along with Paro’s Head of Sales, while interviewing and hiring new Account Executives
  • Coach and manage Paro’s Account Executives. Note: These individuals will be a mix of new direct hires as well as Sales Development Representative (“SDR”) promotes
  • Own Account Executive onboarding and training, using Paro’s existing Sales Onboarding Guide as a basis to build upon
  • Remove roadblocks wherever possible for your team, including optimized sales processes and technical automation
  • Ensure Account Executives understand their goals, where their performance stands, and how they can improve
  • Besides the new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) you conceptualize and operationalize, you’ll also be responsible for:
    • New business revenue growth
    • Account Executive ramp-up time
    • Proportion of new business driven by Account Executive prospecting (i.e. beyond inbound leads and meetings set by SDRs)
    • New clients added
  • Groom AE Generalists into industry-focused team leads
  • Add to the culture and change the trajectory of our growth by being your awesome self
